Vanderboegh hits another proverbial nail

I believe with all of my heart that most people do not get it. Day after day i hear and see arguments over skin color, the all mighty dollar, what kind of car some is driving, how they let their kids hair look like, or who has the "beast dressed" plaque for the day. All of these mundane arguments are about "the idea" listed above. These arguments lead to a constriction of the idea of Liberty, and it pisses me off.
Johnny is "black" and Timmy is "white, I don't give a F*(K, they are equal and bland in my eyes.
Ronald is "wasteful" with his money and Sally is too frugal, I don't give a F*(K, it is their money.
Can you believe Joe's son has purple hair, and a tattoo, I don't give a F*(K, it is their family.
My khakis are from the Gap, I don't give a F*(K, mine were on sale and they are MINE.
Liberty is more than a principle it is a way of life, they only life if you ask me. We tend to look at extreme cases of oppression

2ND Amendment Violations
Genocide
Don't get me wrong those are large problems, and sadly very real problems. But in our LIFE we can stop the small infringements that lead to the large ones.

"Liberty or Death" is more than a Patrick Henry quote, it is a two way street. You ar either living under one or the other, but you are also directing those around you towards one or the other.

Argentina (continued)

On Friday FerFAL posted another blog about the collapse of Argentina's economy and liberties. I have written before about how his writings have changed my views on life. It is refreshing to read his resilience and first person perspectives. That posting along with the Reverends post on the American Depression version 2.0, got me thinking WTF are we not seeing as a country. I realize that if you are reading this i am most likely preaching to the choir, however we need to become clear, and resolute in the education of others beyond the "blog community". Recent response to Mike Vanderboegh's letter was appalling in my humble opinion, he was absolutely right, direct and most frightening, possibly prophetic. Our republic is failing, being burned to the ground by banks, with a federal stamp of approval. Attempt addressing these problems of economic, domestic and foreign policies by ALL peaceful means, but also consider these words:

In all honesty I do not agree with Malcolm X on a lot of things, but as they say even a broken clock is right twice a day. Inform for change today or there will be blood tomorrow.

Turning Point 1860, US History

Feb 9, 1861 - The Confederate States of America is formed with Jefferson Davis, a West Point graduate and former U.S. Army officer, as president.

This is in my humble opinion one of the most important times in history, and a major step in the wrong direction as intended by our founding fathers. As populations grew and more land was "acquired" the nation separated into subgroups again. This was similar to the Revolutionaries and Loyalists and neutrals of the first American Revolution. Truth be told our history is taught with an extreme slant, that the founders were completely correct and that their successors were noble in all their endeavors. This sadly is not only untrue, but impossible. The War Between the States could and should have been avoided at all costs. Instead butchery was shown on both sides, for the arguments of individual liberty versus the greater good.
In pre-revolution America "Intolerable Acts" were a fuse to the smoldering powder keg. The crown justified them for "the greater good." In the War Between the States, Abraham Lincoln justified his atrocities for the same reason.

The separation required NO fighting and was accomplished before Lincoln even reached office. Yet after this war America had won her "empire" and reacted accordingly.

The fact is that "state sovereignty" ended with the War Between the States. This country should have been split and recognized then, and at least once more as we moved further west. Instead we are acting towards a Global Empire, and I hold Abraham Lincoln accountable. They should melt all the Lincoln pennies, burn all the Lincoln fives, and remove the Lincoln Memorial. Lincoln could be the worst president we as Americans have ever had to suffer, with Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, Lyndon Johnson, and John Kennedy running second through fifth. Prime Objective

I have 2 sons, one is almost 9 and the other just turned 5. This is to put in context the foundation of this argument.

I have said before that the Constitution does NOT grant rights to an individual. Sadly in today’s nanosecond attention span theatre our children are subjected to, examples of honor, loyalty, bravery, freedom and leadership are difficult to cite. My kids love the “Transformers” movie, and it drove me nuts for awhile. As I sit here on Sunday, after our morning movie I can accept this as a positive theme in a movie that my kids will actually watch. With most movies from Hollywood preaching subjectification and compliance it is nice to see any reference to freedom. I will admit my family is a little to “media based” on movies, and TV, but we are making progress. Besides I had to move off such serious mindset ramblings for a while. Vote early, vote often, vote Autobot.

While getting caught up on my reading it occurred to me, in all of this celebration recently (July 4, Heller vs. DC, The Freedom March) one very important aspect of American life has received very little attention from me, the American Soldier. Right now many of our fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers and sisters are fighting and some dying in over 140 countries across the globe. No matter what your thoughts are on any of the current “occupations, wars, conflicts, or security measures” remember, THEY are the ones in the front. They are the ones giving all so we sit can on our cans, have our Starbucks, shitty traffic and our Blogs, saying what we want when we want. Since any time in my memory the American Soldier has been a faceless, colorless hero in my eyes. I have fond memories of veterans, some disabled, some not, some old, and some young. I remember as a child that family friends who were veterans seemed to stand a little taller, and approach life with a more direct certainty. I know now that my forms of “hero worship” lead to the haloesque glow of these people, but even as an adult, I still hold the American Soldier in a special place. Because I was remiss in including you in recent writings let me say “thank you” to every Sailor, Soldier, Airman, and Marine from the American Revolution through today and beyond.

Apathy?


Was speaking with a friend the other day. For all intensive reasons consider him educated and competent with what "they" are doing in the background. We were speaking mainly of the SPP, and the NAU, which all seemed to lead to the Bill of Rights and my rantings of sovereignty of te states. The conversation was going well until we hit a snag. Apathy, Websters defines this as "without feeling, from a- + pathos emotion".

The reason I bring this up is that it is a common theme among people I meet, and speak with. I can justify people who "follow the light" then live in the shadows. But to choose, beyond reason, to live under oppression because "it is what it is". I do not understand the process of thought that leads only to greater oppression, only to darker shadows.

I debated not only going silent on this issue, but in general. Thanks to the "fear" in the government, HR1955, and the recent changes to the Posse Comitatus Act, HR5122, together re-writing of the Insurrection Act, gives the Fedearl Government the legal authority to declare martial law, is now an accomplished fact. These are the "3 Strikes" and the Constitution is OUT.
The bad news is that I, a patriot, citizen, and lover of my country, could be considered a "homegrown domestic terrorist"(their words not mine) and subject to true terrorism by my fellow country men.
I only hope we may remeber the face of our fathers

Might Be Moving "SOONER"

Passed in the Oklahoma senate by 92-3, the State has invoked "sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States"

An Open Letter

Due to the reluctance of the Barr/Root campaign to answer questions, I believe my last option for a chance of explanation is an "open letter". This is my attempt, if you have or know of another let me know, or you can fell free to use mine. Please keep other posted when (if) you get a response from the campaign.


To whom it may concern:
I have watched the campaign of Bob Barr with great interest and an equal amount of concern. When I first looked into Mr. Barr the only information I could find was his current "official" releases, upon looking further I became quite alarmed. His stance(s) on the Lautenberg gun ban, his vote on the "Patriot Act", his support of large government institutions, and his less than libertarian voting record while in office. I understand that many, or even most, of his views have changed. Without explanation of the events that lead to this change however, I personally feel insulted, as if viewing slight of hand trickery. I along with many others feel that we deserve a direct and very public explanation of these, especially when asked directly, such as was the case on http://goodsense-va.blogspot.com/2008/06/questions-for-derek-barr.html
We can all get side stepped, generalized answers that skirt on the fringes and sound bites from any party official or candidate. The reason I look to a “third party” is honesty and directness, I do not feel I am receiving either from the campaign of Mr. Barr and Mr. Root.

Please take this as an open letter, pleading for a reason to believe in the candidate before I can pledge my support.

The Meaning of July Fourth for the Negro, 1852

While I debated not using any of my words to detract from this simply amazing speech, I could not resist. As we Americans begin our Independence Day celebrations we tend to look back with a twinge of nostalgia, of the good old days. I am a fan of yesteryear as much as the next guy but remember, the past was not perfect and most of what you "understand" is based solely on perspective. Because I am a WAM30 (White American Male 30 Something) some would argue my perspective is narrow, I often debate my own "perceptions" with myself. I have been fortunate enough to have conversations with veterans since WW2, families who ran with and against "klan mentality", survivors and killers. I do not profess to have an equal perception as the participants, but my life grows hearing their stories, good and bad.
